Former Supreme Court judge Justice Markandey Katju announced the launch of a new initiative called the “Ishq Karo Party”, inviting young people to become part of the platform. The announcement, made through social media, has quickly attracted attention online due to its unconventional name and message centred on harmony and human connection.

Justice Katju shared the announcement on X, stating that interested individuals could join the initiative by contacting the organisation through email. Describing the platform's guiding principle as “Make Love Not War”, he indicated that efforts were underway to establish its online presence, including a website and social media accounts. The announcement gained further traction after a purported social media exchange surfaced in which Justice Katju invited writer and journalist Mrinal Pande to join the newly formed party.

The launch has also drawn comparisons online with the recently discussed “Cockroach Janta Party”, which gained attention following a protest in New Delhi over alleged examination paper leaks. While social media users have reacted with a mix of curiosity, humour and scepticism, no formal manifesto or detailed policy framework of the new organisation has yet been made public.

Although the development does not arise from any judicial proceeding, Justice Katju outlined the central idea behind the initiative through his public statements. Emphasising its stated objective, he described the platform's agenda as “Make Love Not War.” Apart from the membership invitation and broad message promoting social harmony, no official details regarding the party's structure, objectives, or political roadmap have been released so far.

As of now, the initiative remains at the stage of a public announcement and online outreach effort.
