Former Supreme Court judge Justice Markandey Katju announced the launch of a new initiative called the “Ishq Karo Party”, inviting young people to become part of the platform. Justice Katju shared the announcement on X, stating that interested individuals could join the initiative by contacting the organisation through email. Describing the platform's guiding principle as “Make Love Not War”, he indicated that efforts were underway to establish its online presence, including a website and social media accounts. The announcement gained further traction after a purported social media exchange surfaced in which Justice Katju invited writer and journalist Mrinal Pande to join the newly formed party.
The launch has also drawn comparisons online with the recently discussed “Cockroach Janta Party”, which gained attention following a protest in New Delhi over alleged examination paper leaks.
